The principle manor was, of course, Chobham Manor. However at various periods the manors of Pentecost and Stanners are mentioned in the records. A detailed history of each manor can be viewed by clicking on the navigation bar on the left.
Estate owners with pretensions tended to refer to their estates as manors. Aden, Hesle and Chobham Place have at times been referred to as manors but did not hold courts and so were not manors in the real sense.
The development of the manors within the context of the history of the village is described on the ‘historical era’ pages.
Descriptions and history of Chobham Place and Chobham Park houses are given on the web page ‘houses’.
